Subject Matter Rating: 5/5

This is the second gardening book that I have reviewed and while they both discuss the same subject, they are two completely different approaches which are equally as helpful and important to the serious and casual gardener alike.  Gardening is a superbly relaxing and popular hobby; and that is the premise behind this book.

Author’s Knowledge Rating: 5/5

It is clear that the authors have extensive knowledge and expertise in the subject area they are discussing.  They convey that knowledge and expertise in clear and easy to understand instructions and advice.

Formatting & Presentation Rating: 4/5

This book is presented in a logical fashion, and includes very appropriate and beautiful pictures and diagrams to augment the information presented.  However some of the pictures overlap and obscure the text.

With a current list price of $4.97, this is an exceptional value for anyone looking to get serious about gardening on any level.

The Eclectic Book Review of A Beginner’s Guide to Urban Gardening by R.M. Wright

R.M. Wright’s A Beginner’s Guide to Urban Gardening is an excellent guide that covers every conceivable question that someone interested in getting started in hydroponic gardening might possibly have.  It is quite detailed and the author clearly proves that he is full of expert knowledge and experience.  If the detailed explanations, tips, hints and tried and true advice weren’t enough, this book is also packed full of diagrams, charts and pictures to help reinforce the information.  The time and money you can save by being armed with this information is well worth several times the price of the book.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who even has a casual interest in learning more about the subject.

Subject Matter Rating: 5/5

The subject of hydroponic gardening is one that is undoubtedly useful for many people at any time.  This was a very good choice for the author to write about.

Author’s Knowledge Rating: 5/5

The author provides expert information in every aspect of the subject.  It is quite clear that he has extensive experience and wishes to share it with his readers.

Formatting Rating: 4.5/5

This book is well organized and mostly easy to follow the first time through, though I would highly recommend reading it through completely once before going back and reading it a second time when beginning the process of planning your hydroponic garden.  There are minor spelling and grammar errors included but they are easy to overlook.

Value Rating: 5/5

With a current list price of $4.99 on Amazon, this is an exceptional value and the information is easily worth several times the price.
